The Investment Manager plays a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities. This position requires a balance of strategic thinking and operational execution, including managing deal processes and supporting portfolio companies
Role Details
Reports to Respective Investment Director
1. Investment Analysis & Due Diligence:
• Source, screen, and evaluate potential investment opportunities, following and developing investment process guidelines
• Lead or assist in due diligence efforts, including financial modeling, market research, competitive analysis, and operational assessments
• Lead drafting of investment memos and present findings to investment committee for final approval
2. Deal Execution:
• Coordinate deal structuring and negotiations, working closely with legal, financial, and other advisors
• Manage the closing process of investments and ensure legal documents are accurate and finalized
3. Portfolio Support:
• Work closely with portfolio companies to help them grow and overcome operational challenges
• Offer strategic insights and connect portfolio companies with relevant industry experts, resources, and potential partners
4. Team Collaboration & Mentorship:
• Collaborate with senior team members to assess investments, ensuring a consistent and strategic approach to the investment process
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional development
What we are looking for in you
• 3-5+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or growth-stage investing, with a strong track record of deal sourcing and execution
• Solid financial modeling skills
• Ability to build and present investment theses and pitch decks
• Understanding of FinTech industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Understanding of financial databases (e.g., PitchBook, MAGNiTT) and relevant investment management software (e.g., Affinity)
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
• Excellent spoken and written English
• MBA or other relevant advanced degrees are a plus, but not required
